NSSA President 2019-2021
Spine surgery has taken a long leap in the last decade and constitutes more than 25% work of any neurosurgeon. Technological advances in last couple of decades added impetus to spine surgery with excellent results decreasing the morbidity in the patients. In recent years the progress is happening more towards minimizing the tissue damage during surgery helping the patients to recover faster and resume their activity at the earliest. Neurosurgeons have contributed significantly in this minimally invasive spine surgery by quick adaptation to microsurgical principles and more recently towards the use of endoscopic surgeries.
NSSA is an organisation has recently completed 18 years of its existence and moving to adulthood with increased responsibility given to its members. At this juncture its progress depends on increase in participation of its members in organization activities. Keeping this view we are updating our new interactive website which will be launched soon. We request the members to utilise the website proactively to interact each other and to spread the knowledge of spine surgery to fellow members.
August 29th to September 1st will be the National conference of NSSA which will be at Cochin, Kerala and we expect every member of the society to participate actively to make it yet another successful event. Soon you will all be receiving the theme & detailed information on the website. We encourage members to send the abstracts, bring the family along and enjoy the conference.
